2004 Football Recruits

Below is a list of prospective student-athletes that have given verbal committments to attend the University of Toledo on a football scholarship. Please understand that this list can change at anytime and does not mean that a player will sign with Toledo.

Gabe Hatchett (Wide Receiver, 6-3, 194, Sacramento,CAL-Sacramento City JC) - Gabe Hatchett had originally committed to Nebraska, but he has decommitted and given a verbal to Toledo. Hatchett, which runs a 4.7 40, caught 49 passes for 824 yards last season at Sacramento City College in California. He is listed as one of the best JC players available in the country. He has 3 years of eligibility remaining.

Raybin Williams (Defensive Line, 6-6, 245, Pompano Beach, FL-Ely HS) - Raybin Williams has verbally committed to Toledo. He was named 2nd Team All-State Florida Class 6A (big schools). His school won the state championship in 2002 and won a district championship last fall. Williams has a great combination of size and speed.

Brett Kern (Punter/Kicker, 6-2, 185, Grand Island, NY-Grand Island HS) - Brett Kern has verbally committed to Toledo. He was named All-State as a punter in the state by the New York media. He can also kick field goals, with a 50 yard field goal to his credit.

Andre Bouldin (Defensive Line, 6-3, 310, Ann Arbor, MI-Pioneer HS) - Andre unbelieveably has 5.0 speed despite weighing 310 pounds. He can bench press over 400 pounds as well. Bouldin could be a great defensive tackle for the Rockets. He is big enough to plug up the running lanes and quick enough to rush the QB.

Sean Zabinski (Offensive Line, 6-6, 270, Albany, NY-Albany Academy HS) - Sean Zabinski is an offensive lineman from Albany, NY. He played left tackle in high school along with defensive end. As a tackle, he did not give up a sack in 3 years as a starter.

Terrell Herbert (Safety, 6-1, 175, Pittsburgh, PA-Penn Hills HS) - Terrell Herbert has very good speed, running a 4.50 in the forty. He looks a lot like current Rocket, Brandon Hefflin, when he is on the field. Herbert and Hefflin both went to Penn Hills High School in Pittsburgh.

Greg Hay (Safety, 6-2, 205, Walled Lake, MI-Western HS) - Greg Hay has good size and speed, running a 4.5 in the forty. Hay also recevied an offer from Central Michigan, but he chose the Rockets instead.

Clint Cochran (Quarterback, 6-4, 210, Wadsworth, OH-Wadsworth HS) - Clint Cochran threw for over 2400 yards and 19 TD's this past season as a senior at Wadsworth High School.

Andrew Decker (Offensive Line, 6-3, 284, Toledo, OH-St. John's HS) - Andrew Decker is from right here in Toledo, OH. He led the St. John's Titans into the 3rd round of the state playoffs. Decker has great size, but is also quick running a 5.0 in the forty.

Patrick Dawson (Offensive Line, 6-3, 290, Greensburg, PA-Central Catholic HS) - Patrick Dawson is a big guy with lots of potential. He should bulk up to over 300 pounds by the time he hits campus next season.

Erique Dozier (Safety, 5-11, 195, Akron, OH-Garfield HS) - Enrique is a running back and safety for Garfield High School in Akron, OH. He had 48 tackles and 3 fumble recoveries for Garfield high school last season as a junior. He also returned a punt for a touchdown. Enrique attended a summer football camp at Toledo during the 1st weekend of June, 2003. He impressed the Rocket coaches so much that they offered him a scholarship to come to Toledo in 2004 and play safety. On Sunday, June 1st, Dozier gave a verbal committment to the Rockets. His grades are good and he has already passed his college entrance tests so he is assured to be academically eligible in the fall of 2004. We will update his info this fall as he completes his senior year of high school.
